Translation Memory
Translation memory shows you similar strings that have already been translated in the same locale. If you've translated "Submit form" before, and you're now translating "Submit this form", the memory will surface the earlier translation as a suggestion.
How it works
When you open a string in the editor, Stringhive compares its source text to every other source string in the same Hive that has an approved translation for the current locale. Matches above 40% similarity are shown as suggestions.
The similarity score is token-based: it looks at the overlap between the words in both strings, not just substring matching. "Log in to your account" and "Sign in to your account" score high because most tokens match.
Using a suggestion
Suggestions appear in a panel below the translation field. Click one to copy it into the translation field, then edit as needed. You're not committing to anything until you save.
Limitations
Translation memory works within a single Hive. Strings from other Hives aren't included, even if they're in the same team.
It also only looks at approved translations. Drafts and unreviewed translations won't appear as suggestions.
